repetition

Repetition

This artist Andy Warhol uses repetition to create this famous piece of Marilyn Monroe, which is very eye-catching and vibrant. This abstract piece uses high colour saturation which creates tone and highlights all the features of her face. Form is also created with the shaded parts giving the piece dimensions, it also creates emphasize on the actress and making her the focal point.

He uses repetition again in this can peice witch contrasting colours which again catch the eye, colour saturation is higher in this piece.  The pice is a lot more two dimensional and uses pattern with the repeated image created in different colours.

This picture I've taken of autumn leaves shows repetition with the repeated leaves scattered across, I like the warm orange and red colours which makes it feel wintery. I also like the focus on the close up leaves with the rest blurred in the background giving it an abstract look.
